To create a WordPress Blog website you first need to set up a brand new website (blank) and then upload WordPress Blog software into it.

There are many tutorials on how to set up a brand new website (you could even watch video #3 in the Alex Jeffreys coaching private members area) but essentially…

You need a domain name and a web hosting account. Then you need to point your domain name to your web hosting account by changing its nameservers.  And finally, if this is not your main domain name for your web hosting account, you’ll need to create an add-on domain… to have fully set up your brand new website (blank).

Once complete you can begin to install WordPress Blog software…  here’s how.

———-

step #1 login to your web hosting account at http://yourblogsite.com/cpanel,
p.s. if you don’t know how to do this just call or email your web hosting service provider and they’ll show you what to do…

step #2 next, scan your eyes through your contol panel, looking for some location that gives you the ability to upload new software,

step #3 then, what you want to look for is a button that says something like ‘Fantastico’ or ‘Fantastico De Luxe’, then click on that button,

step #4 in the ‘Fantastico’ screen look for the heading ‘Blogs’ and then click on the sub-heading ‘WordPress’,

step #5 now under the ‘WordPress’ heading you should see ‘New Installation’ and click that button too,

———-

Now you’ll see many options and boxes to fill out… so here is what to do,

———-

step #6 click the blue arrow to the right of the box ‘Install on domain’, what you’re looking for is the domain name you’re trying to upload WordPress software to.  So if you want ‘yourblogsite.com’ to become the blog then make sure its selected,

step #7 leave the ‘Install in directory’ box blank,

step #8 under ‘Admin access data’ enter a ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ you can remember and will always use to access the admin area of your WordPress Blog once is been installed,

———-

The next section is called ‘Base Configuration’.  here is where you can enter ‘Admin nickname’ (I recommend your first and last name), ‘Admin email’ (this is the email address new comments on your blog will be emailed to), site name (your url will do for the moment) and finally ‘Description’ (a description of your website).

Although all this information needs to be entered in the installation sequence, be aware that as soon as your blog has been installed you can adjust and change all these ‘Base Configuration’ parameters if you really want to… that is.

———-

step #10 click on the ‘Install WordPress’ button, and if the next screen asks you to enter an email address that will forward a copy of all these setting, its a good thing to do.

———-

Now your installed.

Go to www.yourblogwebsite.com and you should see a very basic blue theme with a very simple ‘Hello World’ demo post.

The next 4 steps will allow you to optimize your blog and bring it into the real world…  –> click here for the next 4 steps <–

Get started by creating your very first blog post and then delete the ‘Hello World’ post. (inside www.yourblogwebsite.com/wp-admin)

And remember, the best way to get your first new visitors is to make comments on other people’s blogs.
