As many of you know, I started blogging less than
two weeks ago… and its purrrrrdy cool.
But, in the back of my mind, I was thinking…
Is this what I’m supposed to be doing to be
successful with Alex Jeffreys coaching program or should I be
doing something entirely different.
So, I went downstairs and poured myself a hot coffee in my new
designer mug the boys had given me as a birthday gift.
I wish you could see it… on the outside it says “Strength,
wisdom and guidance are what makes a man a father. Love is
what makes him a dad…” then inside it says “I love you.”
Purrrrrdy cool #2… Anyways, as I returned to my
computer it finally hit me.
Why not take a closer look at what successful past students of
Alex Jeffreys, had done with their WordPress blogs…
After all, I knew Alex had hired Garry Parkes as his operations manager
and that Alex had told me on more than one occasion that
Dean Holland quit his job because of the huge sums of money he’d
been making online.
So my question was this: What did they do… in the beginning.
Did they post a little or did they post a lot. Here are their statistics.
Garry Parkes posted 70 times in his first 6 months…
Nov 2008 – posted 14 times
Dec 2008 – posted 23 times
Jan 2009 – posted 15 times
Feb 2009 – posted 9 times
Mar 2009 – posted 5 times
April 2009 – posted 4 times
Dean Holland posted 47 times in his first 6 months…
Oct 2008 – posted 4 times
Nov 2008 – posted 9 times
Dec 2008 – posted 13 times
Jan 2009 – posted 10 times
Feb 2009 – posted 8 times
Mar 2009 – posted 3 times
Looks like Garry posted a bit less than once a day and Dean a little bit
less than once every other day, in the beginning that is.
Heck, if its good for them… Then its probably good for me.
Thanks guys for leaving us clues.
Alex Jeffreys must be very proud of you both.
Rob

Hello Rob!
Did you get a chance to read their journey?
Alex Lim
Alex,
Every day I read a little more from each of their blogs.
Great stuff. Hopefully soon I’ll have as captivating a one for me…
Cheers Mate,
Rob
Super birthday present, Rob. I will also have to start reading their blogs but there’s already so much to do.

Hey Rob,
I’d thought I would add a little here,
At the VERY BARE, you should be posting at least once a week. If you post anyless then that, then you stop getting consistant google love.
On the other side,
You shouldn’t post more then 5 times a day as some of the pinging services will think your blog is a spam blog and ban your blog.

Mick,
Yeah, the coffee mug is cool. Let me see if I can do a video to show you what it looks like. Check back tomorrow.
Rod,
There’s so much to do because every time I check out the forum you’re the guy helping out bigtime. Thx for all you do.
Brad,
Makes sense on the number of times to post. I’ll definitely keep those numbers in mind.
Cheers Guys,
Rob
Thanks Rob,
Any others tips on how to be as successful as them

Hey Rob,
Don’t you ever post anything that isn’t really thought provoking?
This is a great comparison between two of the success stories of the first intake and it gives us 2.0 students a good basis from which to follow.
Personally, I am going to post three blog posts a week which will put me at 72 posts for a six month period.
Keep in touch.

Hey Rob,
Nice post! I have to admit, I think that is the way forward. I am just having a really good look into what everyone else is doing. Like you say, if it\’s good for them then we can only follow in their footsteps
Take care,
Paul
Hey Rob, I just got your comment on my other blog normsgreenforce.com and wanted to thank you for your comment and appraisal of that blog.
I have actually opened a new blog http://6degreesofseparationonline.com that will be more in line with internet marketing.
The greenforce blog was set up around DIY Green Energy for your home and I just started using it when I got involved with Alex\’s program. I finally decided it didn\’t make sense to run an marketing blog on an green energy blog.
Anyway if you are of a mind to go look at my new one.
I am trying to get around to more of the blog from the Alex group.
Thanks again
Norm
Great idea! I hadn’t thought to look at the example of the first class for their posting frequency. I was actually trying to post something every day, but that has become a little difficult with my schedule. I have since decided to drop back to a post every other day, and that seems to jive nicely with the analysis you have provided!

I think your spot on – it was a total coincidence that I only started my blog a couple of weeks before the Course started, I had other plans for it then someone came to me with Alex Jeffreys program which I had never heard of before but decided to look into him so the blog was already in place. Fate ???????????

Yes, fate does have a funny way of sticking its head up at just the right times.

P.S. You were asking about the anti-spam thing where at the bottom of my comments it requires
a real person to type in 6 numbers only visible to the naked eye and not spam bots. Yes, its a
plugin. And the plugin is called Simple Captcha.
Here is where to get the plugin –> http://blog.zorex.info/?page_id=2
Paul,
Yeah… Just got off the replay of Module 3 last night and it seems this is exactly what AJ wants
us to do… Start blogging valuable content.
See you soon,
Rob
Hey Steve,
Your welcome on the Gravatars… One of the things I did on my blog in the section with the underlying blog
tutorials is create a top level page found
here –> http://escapetoprosperity.com/blog/wordpress-blog-assistance-for-alex-jeffreys-coaching-program-students
and then each sub page like the one you visited shows a link in the bottom like
this — ‘click here to add your comments… thank you’
and then I closed comments on the sub page.
the ‘click here to add your comments… thank you’ hyperlink goes back to the comment section of the
top page and this allowed me to aggregate comments relating to the wordpress
assistance I provided to one area to see a bigger number.
Hope that helps.
Rob
David,
Thanks… And btw… Love your blog.
What’s this 42, 397 followers I see you have at http://twitter.com/davidwalkertv … Good gracious.
How you did that would definitely be a great read.
Cheers,
Rob
Glenn,
Always great having you stop by. Let me know your blog url when its up or if you
need help getting it installed.
Keep pressing on.
Rob
Hi Rob,
Funny, I started doing the same thing the other day looking at Garry and Dean’s archive’s……..thought provoking to say the least.
Two very different styles, but two examples of how they acheived their success as a result of AJ 1.0.
Be in touch Rob!
Sean
Hey Rob,
When I first started my blog, I was posting every single day. I have started to learn a trick though. If you post every two or three days, it allows your posts to sit on the front page longer and they will accumulate more comments. More comments = bigger social proof that people should be reading your site.
Great post. It’s interesting to see how the previous top students were doing it.

Rob,

Plus this is the second thing you have done like the previous students. The first thing was joining AJ’s training course of course…..
Thanks again

Matt,
Thanks for that… I wanted to post like GP & DH did at the beginning and also I get what you say… So I decided to keep blogging like I am, but
now I’ve added a new category and a tab in my header that says ‘popular posts’… This brings my top commented on posts to the forefront.
Thanks,
Rob
Hey Rob,
I can’t believe it, you only starting blogging two weeks ago? What? I thought you were a seasoned pro, back from the Marketing With Alex 1.0 Program. I thought this, just by the comments that you left on my blog.
This is a great blog! Lots of good information, and I like you’re writing, too. Ya got style!
I’ll get my picture up soon, and that’s a great link for my readers!

Hi Rob,
Nothing like studying successful people if you want to succeed. I too am watching and observing the people who have walked ahead of me in Alex’s course
Doug
Hey Rob,
You certainly couldn’t have picked two more successful
AJ students than Garry Parkes and Dean Holland to follow
what they have done as far as blogging.
I have proven to myself (after learning from Alex of course)
that blogging is a great way to get started and noticed.
The main thing is that you must keep active at it or you will
see a drop off in traffic. I can tell you this from experience.
There are just so many things to do in this business that it’s
hard to keep up with them all.
Later,

Yep, I agree blogging is the fastest way to build your brand… Then its all about monetization…
