Thanks for dropping by. Yep, you’re probably right. The captcha is probably overkill as I’m already running
askimet. So I deactivated it. Thanks.

Any ideas on what else I can do to improve the visitor experience would be appreciated.

Also traffic ideas always appreciated.

One thing I’ll just mention, I think you’d be better off getting rid of the captcha thing. I know it doesn’t seem to be affecting your comments as you have loads, but I just think it would be a better experience without it.

Maybe a spam filter would be better, I use askimet & it works pretty well for me.

I’ve left mine to reset yearly, no limit on numbers to show and I’ve excluded my name so that I don’t end up in my list…

May have to make some adjustments however… list is getting pretty long.

Thanks for the tip Rob, don’t know why but I hadn’t thought of it like that & had it to reset every month. I’ve changed it to never reset now, is that what you’ve got it set to? Also how many names do you limit it to show, I’ve got mine set to 60 at the moment.

This is such a great post, what I read between the lines is putting people first. Basically, that\’s what helping people by providing good information on your blog is all about it. And like you said, doing it all for free.
