Yep, that’s my goal…
Now, before you get your knickers in a twist because its
my personal declaration, rather than some super secret tactic or
traffic strategy that will instantly visitor up your blog.
Let me just say this…
Anytime I’ve been able to achieve something meaningful in my life,
I’ve first needed to think about what I really wanted, written it down and then
looked at what it is I wrote… several times a day.
Today, is day one of Alex Jeffreys’ traffic contest. Just google
his name if you don’t know who he is… This guy’s ripping it up on the net…
Anyways, I have no idea what its going to take to win his traffic contest, but
I’m going to give it everything I’ve got.
That means, at least for me, I need to set a goal.
Not a totally ridiculous goal but one that seems slightly out of reach.
About 10 days ago, I started doing something constructive
with this blog your currently reading.
Most days 30 – 40 visitors have come, but one time I hit 60 visitors all
in a single day… so I’ve decided a good goal for me is…
5,000 visitor to my blog over the next 14 days
Hmmmm, looks like I’ve just declared it.
Alex says transparency is what will help me succeed. That
means each day I’m going to tell you what I’m doing and
how its going, what works and also what doesn’t.
Ohhh… by the way check out the bottom of my ‘about me’ page, as
I just added a picture of me and my family while visiting Niagara Falls.
Also, the other day I was reading a post and then commented
on Jason James’ blog. I think, I told him that I sometimes
have a difficult time staying focused and motivated.
Don’t you know… the following day he sent me a personal reply that included
a copy of a picture he looks at several times a day to keep himself motivated.
Wow, what a cool dude.
So, I uploaded it into my computer and now I use it as my desktop
background… so I see it all the time. As a result, I want to give you
a copy so you can have it too.

Hey Rob:
Great goal – 5,000 visitors in 14 days! Let’s see that’s 357 per day, 30 per hour, 2 per minute (roughly), but I think it’s OK to expect that to ramp up and then accelerate…

I don’t know if you know about how many of the students are branding our pictures all
across the blogsphere. Its free, automatic and only takes a few minutes… This is the blog

Don’t worry about setting your goals like mine. We all have different ideas, time to spare and talents.
Imagine if all that happened is we learned how to drive traffic and build a list in these 14 days, now that
would be pretty cool. And you can do it big time on your own terms.

If yes, can you tell me what you are doing?On Webinar alex told one thing only to generate traffic, write comments on other students’ blogs.I am sitting all day long and write comments on Authority blogs of Big Marketers at Winningtheweb.com and other students’ blogs.Is it the way to bring massive traffic?Alex told “Yes.Just do it and results will come”.

GO GET ‘EM!!! I KNOW that your goal is certainly attainable-no doubt in my mind! EVERY single post is filled with very useful information that benefits each of us, in particular those of us who struggle with grasping some of the finite bits needed to stay on track with what Alex is teaching.

Its great you’re already spending time commenting on authority blogs… Here’s a tip to increase your traffic… Pay
careful attention to the headlines in your posts. The purpose of a post headline that appears in someone
else’s blog as a result of your comments is to cause a reader to click on your headline link and go back to your blog.
Would you click on a link ‘Good Luck To You, Captain’ if you saw it in the comments section of my website.
Its not so much that you would or you wouldn’t but the more enticing you make the headline, the more likely others will
come back even more.

Always a pleasure speaking with you in our comment streams. Here’s one more tip…
To get more people jumping back to your blog as a result of comments you leave, pay careful attention
to the headline of your posts. Do they create curiosity, do they solve a problem essentially are they
enticing a reader to want to see what’s behind the headline.
In other words, if you say a link in the comment stream of my blog that said ‘Alexa Rankings Are a Lot of Fun To Watch’
would that cause you to want to click on that link…
Its not that you would or you wouldn’t its just that better headlines bring you more readers.
