get more traffic to your WordPress blog.
And in my humble opinion strategic blog commenting will
help you achieve all of this and much, much more.
Over the past couple of days I’ve been getting quite a few comments and
personal emails asking me how I’m getting so much traffic…
Sure, I’m doing my best to enjoy other people’s blogs and add
value wherever I can… but there’s something else I’ve been doing.
I’m paying very close attention to my blog post headlines…
As you comment on other people’s blogs post you’ve probably noticed that
several are using the Comment Luv WordPress Plugin.
What this plugin does is basically add the headline of your most recent
blog post to the bottom of any comment you place on other people’s blogs, all
across the internet. Let me show you what I mean.
Yesterday, I created a blog post, then spent some time
reading and then commenting on other blog owners valuable posts.
Below each of my comments this is what appeared.
How cool is that. And its a hyperlink too.
Here are just a few people that use Comment Luv these days.
Thomas Bartke | Rob Willis | Huddson Lee | Marcus Passey | Matt Wolfe
Brad Burnie | JR Biasi | Rod Macbeth | Alex Lim | Andrew Vaughan
Sean Beardmore | Robert Hughes | Anotoly Potiomkin | Jeanette Fitzgerald
Jim Hardin | Ian Buchanan | James Howard | Rudiawan Lukman
Sandy Ostroff | Petra Weiss | Richard Crooke | Joann Henry
And, here is where to get your copy of the Comment Luv plugin

How to write a compelling blog headline that creates curiosity and
desire is not the topic of this blog post, but as you can see its
very valuable people are reading your blog comments elsewhere.
I don’t always write the best headlines, in fact I was terrible at the
beginning… but with time I just got better and you can too.
Clearly, great headlines will improve your visitor percentages
and start turning you into a great copywriter too.
This should help you considerably as you oil rig hop.
Get comment luv today.

Bye for now.
Rob
P.S. Anything you can suggest to help me get more traffic
to my blog would be appreciated in your comments below… thx.
P.P.S. Yes, you will notice that many major bloggers don’t use
comment luv because it can siphon off their readers to
other peoples blogs… but there are so many that do use it… like
the many listed above. Yep, I use it and love it too.
Rob buddy

Hi Rob,
great post. I’m a fellow student of Alex Jeffreys, and as you can see, I use the CommentLuv plug-in as well. I’ve also just downloaded and uploaded the Share This plug-in too. From what I can tell, the Share This plug-in allows people commenting on your post to share your post with others…which has to be a good thing doesn’t it? If you’d like to check it out for yourself, here’s the link http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/share-this/

Hi Rob
Great comment as you can see I am using the comment luv word press plugin too. Great little technique which is new to me.
As far as getting more traffic to your blog you might already know these techniques but I will share anyway;
1) Blog posts.
2) Article Marketing.
3) Build backlinks to your blog posts and your articles with mass article submitter.
4) Social bookmarking you can use automated software such as to do this such as socialbot
5) Submit your Rss feeds again automated software such as Rss bot saves the headache.
6) Video Marketing.
Hope this helps
Take Care

I see what your doing with your post titles, it’s a very good tip to keep in mind.
Thanks for the ideas,
Paul.

Rob
Ive now installed the commentluv app and can see the benefits clearly, particularly as you say with an interesting headline which will attract people to go and view the post.
Copywriting was one of those skills that I needed to improve on although was on the backburner as I am some way off my first product (at the moment anyway!), however I will start to pickup as I can see immediate benefits in some simple attraction creating headlines.
Cheers

Tom,
Congrats on comment luv plugin… Yep good headlines will really help.
The thing to know about copywriting is that its more about learning what not to say to
piss off readers before we get a chance to tell our story.
Any specific challenges you have re: writing content on a blog…

Hi Rob,
Getting the headline to grab the visitors attention is a must.
I’m looking into several different methods of traffic generation which I’ll be feeding back to my blog – and yes, my ‘Comment Luv’ plugin is doing what it’s supposed to.
Speak soon,
Andrew.

David,
The thing I love most about the comment luv plugin is that it forces me to be a better blog headline writer.
When I post on someone else’s blog and I see the headline show up below my post, I think would
that cause someone else to want to find out more.
Talk soon,
Rob
Thanks mate for the tips. I heard that keywordluv is great as well. Did you try it by any chance?
.-= aleksey´s last blog ..Pregnancy Weeks 13-16, Month #4 (Pregnancy Health Guru) =-.
Aleksey,
Keyword luv, first I’ve heard of it going to take a look at that, however I haven’t seen any blogs to date using it. Have you.
I’d like to know a couple if you can tell me.
Rob
P.S. One of the best things I’ve found for getting blog comments is having a picture of yourself beside your comments. And its easy to set up, free, and automatic. Here is a blog post I did to show you what everyone’s doing in this area.

Wow, I’ve just been elevated to the status of major blogger.
What you say makes perfect sense, Rob. It is the title after all that’s most likely to be mentioned anywhere..Google being a perfect example.
Cheers,
Rod

Rod,
Yep, titles are everything… I have worked on several product launches and
what everyone is most concerned about is the first thing people and
the search engines see… headlines.
They’re important everywhere.
Take care,
Rob
